Life Lesson for Middle Chicklet

CRCT

Criterion-Referenced Competency Test

Hell Week for teachers AND students!

We preach to our kids at school to get a good night's sleep and eat a GOOD breakfast.

Last night I took Middle Chicklet to the store to get breakfast food as all we have is Pop-Tarts, Chocolate Chip Waffles, Chocolate Muffin Tops.

You get the picture.

While there, I picked up some candy for my school kids as a reward for testing.

I was reading the Nutrition Facts to see about how many pieces were in each bag so I would have enough.

I picked up a bag and said, "Nope! This only has 50 in it."

MC - "How do you know that?"

I showed him how to take the number per serving and multiply that by the number of servings.

MC - "WOW!!! Now I know how to ready my candy bags to make sure I don't get ripped off!:

MC - "THANKS, Mom! That was a valuable life lesson."

Umm.....welcome.....

  1. Holy Crow. I HATE HATE HATE CRCT week. My 1st grader has them next week and I am already getting notes from his teacher, and his school, and the homeroom mom about lots of sleep and a good breakfast! Look people, if the kids don't know it when they are super cranky and hungry, nothings going to help them!

Love the candy bag thing! Too funny. And they say math has no place in the world.... lol
