Every Monday Matters

Last week I started Every Monday Matters.

I wrote a letter of appreciation to someone in the military.

Not only did I do it, but I challenged my 52 fifth graders to do it.

Over HALF of them wrote letters!

I'm incredibly proud of them.

Our service this week..

Letting the support personnel at our school let them know how much they are appreciated.

Just today, I've witnessed kids walking up to custodians, look them in the eye, and tell them thank you for making our school a clean place in which to learn.

I'm humbled by the service I have already instilled in these children.

Who can you thank?

  1. what an awesome way to teach the kids about appreciation.

  2. Good for you doing this, and especially good for you including the kids.

  3. Fabulous idea. Kudos to you!

  4. That just touches my heart! You are so wonderful and it shows that they would follow your lead!

  5. thats so great I'm a military wife and i know letters always makes it feel like people do care that my husband is putting his life in danger to protect and service his country! Thank you from our family!

  6. What a GREAT idea! You've not only inspired your kids but me too.

Let me feel the love. If you visit, comment. Pretty please. With sugar on top. And whipped cream. And a cherry.
