"Not Me!" Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Gracious alive! It has been a LONG week and a LONG list of things that I did NOT do, but I'll try to limit myself in sharing with the world.

I did NOT have way too much fun on the tennis trip to Rosemary and MESS up my stupid foot again. I am ALWAYS super cautious with it because not only would I NOT be able to play tennis, but it also limits my interaction with Baby Chicklet. So it would have been tres irresponsible to drink too much and party like a rock star, dancing like a fool, after I played 4 1/2 hours of tennis. Nope - wouldn't do it!

I did NOT shovel massive quantities of food and adult beverages in my face because, hey, I'm going to start being good on TUESDAY.

I did NOT continue to say all the wonderful things the eldest chick is doing and how great of a girl she is just because I knew it would pi$$ off one person in our group of tennis gals. Ya see, I am now a GROWN UP and would NEVER resort to such childish behavior.

I did NOT come home after being gone for five days and almost immediately get annoyed with middle chicklet and continue to be that way for the rest of the night. As I had an inifinite amount of patience in store since I was without children for, did I mention, FIVE days my patience factor was at an all time high and he would so NOT drive me crazy within a few minutes!

I did NOT forget to tell Pumpkin how much I appreciated all he did while I was gone. I would NOT tell him I noticed how clean the house was and how awesome it was for him to do laundry. Since I'm perfecto wife numbero ONE, I would NEVER have neglected to do those things!

Y'all have a great week and do NOT do any of the things I did NOT do!

  2. fun post. and i can relate to being away and coming home and becoming almost immediately annoyed. i don't know why that is, perhaps because i come home so tired and there's always something off that i notice right away. and i expect them to somehow do it the way mommy does. well. .. dream on, me! thanks for sharing your story. your chicklets are adorable.

  3. I am so glad you got to get away. Those kiddos always are much worse when we come back. I think they are punishing us. I hope your foot heals well, take it easy!!

  5. I was away for 3 days (from my hubby and kids) and I truly think none of them missed me at all... I also had a ton of patience and had already lost it 5 min after walking back in the door..

  7. Yes, we all know what it's like to come home after a VERY relaxing trip (drinking or no) & immediately want to rip our son's head off! I did NOT just say that.

  10. It's sooo wrong to be jealous of someone just because they've been away for 5 days, sans kiddos, drinking and partying! So I'll settle on the phrase "extremely envious!"

Thanks for stopping over earlier and commenting. You know, I was shocked myself to find foot attire other than my coveted Croc flipflops. I guess someone snuck something new past me. Go figure!

    Have a great week,
    Pam

  15. Funny how the longer you stay away, the shorter the amount of time it is before they start to scratch your nerves again. You'd think time away would help.... :) Happy skunking!
